Making a youtube video for the first time

I’ve been spending the last few months re-making our Lavanda Blu website (would somebody please remind me next time I get this idea to re-make a website to think carefully, my goodness what a lot of work!)

Well, sifting through hundreds of photos in an attempt to choose some for the website, I thought why not make a slide show video thing of some of the photos that there wasn’t room for on the site?

Are you beginning to see a pattern here?

Of course I had no idea how to make a slideshow, so after googling various terms and reading the assorted advice, downloading several useless free video making software and then uninstalling the same, and now pretty much ready to give up on the project, in waltzes Hans who says “I think the computer comes with a slideshow program on it”

Now, it’s time for me to tell you that Hans is not usually the fellow with any answers about anything to do with computers. So I look at him and say “really??” and lo and behold windows does have a program on my computer that even a 5 year old can figure out how to use.

10 marks for Hans! (and boy do I feel stupid)

My first video slideshow is photos of our campsite during summer 2011. I had just gotten a camera that’s more than a point and shoot and took loads and loads of photos in the hopes that I’d figure out how to use it.

Well, I’m still figuring out how to use the camera. Honestly it seems to do everything except wash the dishes…

Here’s the video:
